A man Hardcastle sentenced to life without parole somehow never got to prison and doesn't even have a record. That person known as "an Ear", an expert in surveillance, recording conversations, one of them being a drug smuggling going via trucks. He is pursued by the bad truckers, FBI and Hardcastle and McCormick.
