This episode guest stars Samantha Eggar and Tab Hunter and is about astrology. Now, when I first saw this, I was tempted to turn off the DVD. After all, I have absolutely no faith in this and recently HATED a "Quincy" re-run as it seemed to endorse psychics! But, as it turned out, the show could appeal to people who do believe in astrology as well as to those who definitely do not--a rare balancing act indeed!
The show begins with a murder. It turns out that the exact same m.o. has been used several other times but there is another similarity that the police haven't noticed--the three deaths all involved people with very similar astrological charts. When a professional astrologer (Eggar) brings this to the attention of McGarrett, she is politely laughed at and sent packing. However, when this same lady is able to predict the next murder's time and date--then McGarrett begins to take this more seriously. Perhaps there is nothing to astrology--but this obviously ISN'T the case for the murderer! While I would never consider this a brilliant episode, it is a great relief seeing this one immediately after a terrible episode! Regardless, the plot is interesting and the show worked reasonably well...and is well worth seeing.
