Decent.

I guess I've seen too many episodes of "Hawaii Five-O" recently, as this one probably should have excited me more than it did. It wasn't a bad episode at all--but also didn't do much for me one way or another.

The show begins with some guys in a fishing boat out collecting a shipment of heroin from the ocean. However, as soon as the scuba diver brought the shipment aboard, the leader of this group of crooks shoots him. One of the crew, a young blond guy, reacts badly--and is obviously shaken. Moments later, Five-O and the Coast Guard come upon the ship--obviously they'd been tipped off about the shipment. So, the dump the gun and drugs overboard--intending to return later to retrieve them. As the body washed away and there was no incriminating evidence, they had to release the crooks. But, the leader of these thugs (the killer) is concerned that Blondie was obviously shaken and seemed almost ready to spill his guts--and you can easily guess what will eventually happen to this wimpy guy. But what about the drugs? How will they retrieve them? Well, actually considering the title of the episode it's not too hard to figure out this answer. And, who is the mastermind behind all this? Tune in and see.

Worth seeing, but the submarine angle seemed a bit far-fetched. However, it was nice seeing Jack Cassidy (father of David and Shaun) and the episode was different.

A bit far-fetched

Five-0 finally leaves organized crime and spies behind for a couple of heroine dealers who are going to lengths to get their smuggled supply off a cargo ship and into their hands. But the SCUBA diver who delivers it is shot? Why? That only points a finger back at them.

A casting highlight was Darby Hinton, who also had a bit part as a traffic cop in the original Magnum PI, but for us his main fame was the lead in The Malibu Express ... a skin flick that came along a few years before the Skinemax boom in the genre.

Finally, two guys who don't know how to operate a submarine navigate precisely to a point on the ocean floor. Big NO to the writers from me.

Good Drama, Improved by Wonderful Ocean Footage

Fairly standard plot, the crooked adult and young people.

Cassidy, as always, is allowed to portray a mild homosexual behavior, in one scene.

Splendid underwater submarine and ocean footage.

I almost rated this a ten, but deducted one point, for an incomplete ending.

Note: By this season, it is easy to see that Jack Lord is either losing interest, or else exhausted.

Any possible chemistry between he and Danno, isn't there this season. It is wooden.

But any Hawaii Five O, is better than almost anything else.

Also, by this season, the music is not nearly as good as previous seasons- stock cues, reused music from season 5-6, and any new music, lacks creativity.
