Repetitive but quite enjoyable.

Kevin McCarthy stars in this episode--and it's a pretty good one--especially for a late episode of "Hawaii Five-O". McCarthy plays a forget named Hunter R. Hickey--a VERY self-confident and somewhat reckless crook. It seems that years before, McGarrett had testified against Hickey--and now that Hickey is out of prison, he wants to make a big killing AND make McGarrett look bad. But, his first little caper, though annoying, doesn't really harm McGarrett--but his next one is huge--and McGarrett is going to need to scramble to stop this guy and his little gang.

There is a lot of familiarity to this episode. The break-in at McGarrett's office is the third time for the series and locking the night watchman up by tricking him was also done before in McGarrett's office. and LIKE ALWAYS the crook manages to loose them (and you wonder why McGarrett even bothers to send them to follow ANYONE). When Chin and Duke follow Hickey, they are AS ALWAYS discovered AAt the end, Hickey betrays one of his gang members just before he escapes to the airport--something that was done the season before. Still, despite lots of familiar story elements, the episode by itself is very good. Much of it is because Hickey is a cool character.
