HONG KONG – 1960 - "FREEBOOTER" Rod Taylor headlines this 1960-61 series as a newsman who is stationed in Hong Kong. Taylor is constantly in trouble with various shady types who are always involving him in their troubles. It usually takes several round of fisticuffs, a dead body or two and a gun battle before things get settled. This is the fourth episode.

Beverly Garland, Arch Johnson and Frank Silvera guest star in this episode. Johnson is an ex US Air Force pilot who now works for some rather shady types. These types are plotting the overthrow of a small Asian country. They are having Johnson fly in guns etc for the takeover. Beverly Garland plays Johnson's girlfriend.

Needless to say a problem comes up. Johnson is shot down by the Government Forces on one of his missions. He does however escape and manages to make his way back to Hong Kong. This does not do him much good as he is soon captured by agents of the upset Government. They plan on shipping him to the mainland for a show trial.

The lead agent, Frank Silvera, decides that they should take along Johnson's girl, Garland. Silvera figures that Johnson will be easier to handle with Garland under lock and key. Rod Taylor, a close friend of Johnson and Garland hears through the grapevine about the two's troubles. He attempts a rescue of the couple before they are whisked out of Hong Kong. Needless to say, this leads to several corpses and a stand up fist fight before the rescue is complete. A fun little episode with plenty of action involved.

Particularly effective is stuntman turned actor, Charles Horvath, as the chief thug in Silvera's employ.
