Writers Patt Shea & Harriet Weiss craft an interesting story about Animal's determination to get to the bottom of a woman's drowning. There are some great outdoor scenes in Venice, California, which really captures the flavor of life in that area. The dialogue also includes some history about the development of Venice which I found to be rather good. There's a surprise twist at the end involving the woman's reasons for ending her life, and I think the writers handled it very well. The subplot here involves a fired reporter who is blackmailing Charlie about a list of salaries. That provides some fun moments, especially when Rossi learns how his salary compares with Billie.
