This first episode of Season 5 presents a whole new "Mission Impossible". The opening scene with James Conrad, the tape that disintegrates in 5 seconds, everything is different than the previous seasons of this great TV show.
We are introduced to Lesley Ann Warren, as character "Dana Lambert". She is good, but somehow doesn't fit in as smoothly as other female IMF team members.
James Conrad, remembered as character "James West" of The Wild Wild West, and also as "Pappy Boyington" from Black Sheep Squadron, plays the smooth operating, lady-charming assassin.
Leonard Nimoy, forever stereotyped as "Mr. Spock" also does a great job portraying IMF Agent "Paris".
Lots of suspense, a masterfully planned assassination attempt, and the addition of Lesley Ann Warren make for an entertaining episode.
I rate "The Killer" 8 stars.
