Kate is investigating a horrifying series of murders committed by strangulation, and the main suspect is played by Andrew Robinson (Dirty Harry). Kate thinks the police are latching on to the wrong man. It's a well made mystery, has nice atmosphere, good dialogue, though there needed to be more suspects for the red herring really to work. It's a shame this series is called Mrs Columbo - a reason why it was short lived - as it's quite good. If only Kate wasn't Colombo's ex-wife.
