Things are immersed in the hierarchy of the music business. A big shot is beaten to death with a glass object. It doesn't take long for a suspect to be picked out. A part of this is a man who parallel's John Irvin's past. But things are never that easy. Another part is about a man who has a Russian mail order bride who has had enough of him. She is nearly strangled with a cord. Finally, Connie and Andy go to Theo's school play where he plays the letter Z. They confront the unusual nature of their family structure. Well done.

"Marine Life"

Warning: Spoilers
A always love a good John Irvin moment, and the sturdy, reliable PAA has a good one in "Marine Life". Nice to see him doing more than passing on messages to the squad - sometimes, he gets lost in amongst all the other forceful personalities. Bill Brochtrup does a really good job with the character, and his empathetic words to the AWOL Marine struggling with his sexuality were perfect.
Nice to see Sipowicz happy. It's been a long and tumultuous road for everyone's favourite short sleeve-wearing detective, but it seems to be coming together nicely. He and McDowell are an interesting paring...but the writers really make it work.
