Episode #4.5

A very powerful episode. Yes, now Cody is definitely going too far. He lets his anger in the way of taking the problem with a reasonable action. I am glad Justin didn't go that way. I am happy he just went far enough to confront Chris Hobbs, show him what a fear is that homosexuals are feeling because of people like him, and still end it like a better person. A great final scene.

I am also not agreeing with Mel in this episode. The problems of society should be acknowledged and fought against, but they should be taken into account when planning a strategic move in law.

I felt bad for Debbie. Was very sad to see her coming to Vic's house when he had a party without inviting her. How could he?...

I also liked the story about the Ben's book. I really like the relationship of him and Michael more and more. Justin and Brian fans can say all they want, but Michael and Ben are the best couple on the show, with the most chemistry, realism and great scenes.

Nice Reflection on Season One

Episode 405 "It's a GREAT read, especially if you're having trouble sleeping." ~Michael

The final few minutes of this episode are among some of the best in the entire series. Ever since season one, this was the episode that I've been waiting for. Justin finally confronts his fears and Chris Hobbs head-on. He finally stands up to Hobbs and his horrible mean-spirited taunting. Cody is seriously disturbed, and the end of this episode was just proof of it. He wanted things to get out of control, he wanted to provoke violence, he wanted everything to be his way. Daphne obviously still cares about Justin just as much as she did in season one, and it was really great to see her so much in this episode. That may have been why this episode was perfect—it reflected on seasons past, especially season one, and told a very intriguing story. Amazing doesn't even begin to cover how this episode made me feel. It was moving, and I seriously felt for Justin nearly every step of the way. I also liked seeing Brian care so much. It is quite apparent throughout the episode that the whole ordeal with Justin is really getting to him. The whole subplot with Ben's book was mildly interesting, but the best scenes in this episode all seemed to involve Justin, from the high-powered beginning at the shooting range to the explosive finale between himself and Chris Hobbs. This episode really felt to me like a season finale, and it was certainly effective enough. It was definitely one of the best episodes of Queer as Folk that I've ever seen, and it had such perfect moments. Another amazing scene in this episode was the one where Emmett stopped over at Debbie's house and the two of them just talked and ate ice cream. The dialogue and acting in that scene was so true to life and incredibly heartwarming. It's just great to know that after all of this time, Queer as Folk has still not lost its touch and continues to churn out absolutely incredible episodes by the dozen.
