Tim Conway makes a welcome return appearance on "Laugh-In"
tavm30 August 2019
This ep of "Laugh-In" may have one of the most pertinent lines during the Cocktail Party sequence that applies both to then (when Nixon was president) and now (when Trump is) when Dan Rowan said this: "If the war between the administration and news media gets any worse, the president may demand total withdrawal of reporters from Washington." (Beat) "Of course, the reporters may request that he accompany them." Other than that, this is one of the sillier eps with Tim Conway making another guest appearance which has him being as funny as heck one moment and perhaps a little less so like during some of the skits involving being drunk. (There seems quite a bit of those so far this season especially when Dick Martin and Ruth Buzzi are involved) Still, this was as entertaining an ep of "Laugh-In" as one could expect. P.S. This marked the first time that Lily Tomlin's Edith Ann would sit in a giant rocking chair.
