One of the worst episodes of Season 15
JigglypuffGuy28 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The subplot of Bart and Lisa complaining about the Cosmic Wars movies was great, I like how it takes stabs at the Star Wars prequel trilogy.

The main plot absolutely sucks, the idea of Homer and Marge both getting addicted to drinking sounds like a decent idea for an episode, but the execution is abysmal. The one thing that made me despise this episode though is the fact that Homer FRAMES HIS OWN WIFE FOR DRUNK DRIVING AFTER HE CRASHES THE CAR WHILE DRUNK IN ONE SCENE! And to make matter's worse? Homer doesn't get any comeuppance for it.

Such a terrible episode from Season 15, I highly recommend you do not watch this one.

The show jumps the shark again
KalloFox347 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The episode had potential. Homer and Marge getting drunk actually had potential if done right.

But said potential is dashed to bits after Homer drunkenly drives, flips the car upside down and frames Marge for it. Homer is supposed to be innocently insensitive to Marge. But here. he knows full well what he's doing (albeit drunk) and lies about it.

Half good, half bad

While the 'Star Wars' parody/bashing is funny, the plot about Homer and Marge getting drunk is less so.

I would rather have had more time dedicated to the former than the latter plot.

This the worst episode i have ever heard of it

Co-Dependent's Day has got to be one of the worst Simpsons episode from 2004 along with Bart Mangled Banner yes the episode when Bart moons the flag and ends up in jail with his family, now this is another episode when Jerkass Homer strikes back after blaming Marge for a car accident, the first episode where Jerkass Homer appears is the episode Homer Simpson In Kidney Trouble, the episode when Homer was not letting his grandpa Abe Simpson go to the bathroom and his kidneys exploding which is very disgusting and horrendous and this is the second episode of Jerkass Homer since the first one like i said before.

Not My Simpsons

Homer would never do that to Marge. A fundamental misunderstanding of the character that ruins the episode. The only reason I didn't rate this episode a 0 is because the voice acting is still top notch. It's such a shame they wasted the talents of all the actors involved.

The Cosmic Wars plot is genuinely fun and I enjoyed the Star Wars spoof. However, it is unfortunate how all of the episodes' positives are overshadowed by Homer's actions. It has already been established that Homer is selfish but there is no way he would ever put Marge in that position. It is so disappointing that this ever left the drafts.

Trash George Lucas and the Prequels, get low score
joemeznerd9 November 2023
Prequels trashing is so overdone even back then. This episode doesn't do anything well in comedy or storytelling. It's just a poor reason to trash George. To me anything that puts down George Lucas is just bad to me because it's pure laziness. Nothing about this episode has any originality and is basically the same as every other loser who thinks bringing down someone's work is actually creative. It just shows ignorance and arrogance. George has way more creativity than anyone who worked on this episode. It's offensive and absolutely ridiculous in my eyes.

Overall it's the worst episode of the Simpsons.
