Mike was in the middle of inviting people over to his apartment for a party but when things heat up with Caitlin, Mike cancels the party and makes a private date with Caitlin. Both are looking forward to finally getting together.
During some confusion, someone tells Caitlin that Mike is hosting a party with his staff. Caitlin now brings a date. Mike is very surprised to see that Caitlin brought someone to their first official date. It is not going to be a very good dinner.
There was also a couple of other side stories. One involved James running a crisis hot-line and the other Stuart and the Mayor getting appointments mixed - but both stories just did not play well.
This episode lacked interest. There were a few moments that was nice but overall this was just a run-of-the-mill type show that did not excite viewers. The main story was set-up well but lost momentum before the tale ended. This just did not have the flare that we expect from the series. A routine type show.
