Average story, great production.

Having been reported to his native Greece from The USA, Dimitris Hagias fights against the decision, Marino is on hand to ensure he doesn't get his wish.

An interesting episode, it definitely held my attention from start to finish, but it's arguably one of the least remarkable episodes I've seen to date.

This has some amazing window dressing, it's almost film like, the presentation definitely outweighs the content. It's movie like in its production, it looks dazzling, throw in leading man Cesar Romero, and you have an episode that is very, very Watchable.

I liked that the case felt somehow personal for Marino, he was always going to come out on top, but the Journey's a fairly interesting one.

It's odd, I think it's one of the lesser interesting stories, but it definitely held my attention.

6/10.

Crime from Greece

This story begins in Greece where McNally' sidekick Flood tails an expatriate American gangster - Cesar Romero - who is running a smuggling operation and plans to re-enter the USA. Yes, the bad guy is here no one else than him: Romero. So Paul Marino goes to Greece to investigate on his own, and he is rapidly brought in front of the local police, explain what he is doing here. You may guess the following, the Greek police force is corrupted, or lacks enthusiasm...As far as this country, even now...Well, you find in this episode an exotic perfume that you don't have in the other stories. For the rest, don't expect many surprises, this is so far the poorest of the whole series. I have seen far better, although Romero is quite good, as we may expect from him in such a character. Nevertheless the gangland elements are present here, more than in other épisodes of TARGET...

My Native Land

Dimitris Hagias (Cesar Romero) is the homesick gangster in Athens. Missing America since he was deported back to Greece by the US authorities for being an undesirable alien.

Jack Flood is in Greece keeping tabs on Dimitris who has made plans to return to America. He has greased some palms of politicians so a law will be passed to allow him to step foot in America.

Paul Marino turns up to find out just who us going to so Dimitris's bidding in Congress. Dimitris is still willing to have his goons shut up any loose lips.

Meanwhile his girl in Athens, Eleni wants Dimitris to settle down in Athens and stop pining for home.

This is not the strongest of stories. Romero does his best with a leaden script. He certainly sells how a crowd turned out to wave him off back to Greece.

While Marino reminds him that Dimitris was too busy to be naturalised as an American.
