Tru spends her day with a popular and friendly actress who visits the morgue to do research for her next film. On the same night, the actress is found dead after someone apparently pushed her car off a bridge. Needless to say, she asks for Tru's help, the day rewinds and Tru has to figure out who might want to hurt her. I mentioned above that this is a Jason Priestley episode; what I meant is that he steals the show. The main plot is unpredictable enough and has all the customary red herrings, but the most memorable parts of "Death Becomes Her" are Jack Harper's discussions with Harrison about death, their encounter with a carjacker and Jack's suspiciously calm reaction to it, the effects of Jack's words on Harrison's relationship with Lindsay, etc. Priestley hits just the right notes, managing to be creepy, charismatic, evil and friendly all at the same time. If anyone still doubted that he was a good addition to the show, this episode should clear away those doubts. Also look for the hilarious scene(s) where Davis first meets the actress. *** out of 4.
