It was also the first time condoms were discussed in this context. The funniest scene is when David buys some at the drugstore but Valerie grabs the bag out of his hand, thinking it's the cough drops she asked for.
Valerie Breiman (Lori) was 22 when this was filmed but looks about ten years older, so it's kind of weird seeing her being the one David will lose his virginity to. It's comical but realistic the way David goes back and forth in the scene where he's fighting his urges but also keeps being swayed. Valerie gives a good speech about responsibility and relationships.
A decent episode with a good plot, but better casting would have helped.
