My first time back to this episode in many years. I remembered it fondly since it's one of my favorites. This was a big step in Gabrielle's arc to becoming the woman she is at the end. Not just battle leader, but reassuring Temecula as Xena had done for her.
*I love the character of Pompey. *The wife of the Greek mercenary gave a great performance. *Xena's line, "I'm not here to try on party hats", still makes me laugh. * The music was especially good in this ep. Very dramatic. Great contribution.
