Doh, Joe!
Fluke_Skywalker26 March 2016
Applying facts and logic here feels a bit... unfair. Like playing basketball with your six year old nephew and constantly posting him up. But in this case I'm almost forced to. You see, this episode revolves around Cobra robbing Fort Knox. Fine, they've even done that in a Bond movie (not that they're a haven of logic, mind). Thing is, that's not the part that tests fact and logic. Cobra steals the gold and loads it onto a bullet train idling just outside Fort Knox. Still not the part that tests fact and logic. Said bullet train, we're told, has a top speed of 200 MPH. The Joes, who've fallen hopelessly behind in their tanks, decide to make a pit stop at a horse farm and borrow some thoroughbreds. The Joes then catch the train--with heretofore too-slow vehicles keeping pace, making the use of the horses moot. Yet that's still not the most intelligence insulting part of this episode. That would be the landscape in and around Fort Knox being nothing but desert and mesas, and at one point when a door to the bullet train is open, we see cacti streaking by... in Kentucky.

Again, this is a show where hundreds of lasers streak harmlessly by our characters--all expert marksman--so, yeah. But this was all just a bit too much, even for me, an unabashed apologist for 80s 'toons. All would be forgiven if it were a bit more fun, but there's little to be had here. "Doh, Joe!".
