After signing up for the Johto League, Ash comes across a trainer named Casey, who is eager to train her Chikorita.
Casey is an alright character. I mostly like how she cheers for a baseball team called the Electabuzz. That amuses me. Other than that, she's eager, stubborn, and gullible. I thought she'd be a good foil for Ash, to let his relative experience shine against her lack of any, but there's only a passing mention of Ash also catching a Pidgey.
Team Rocket's plan is kinda dopey, and the episode doesn't offer a ton of great moments or character development.
