Music?

Warning: Spoilers
**SPOILERS** This is the standard anti drug cop show with an overzealous cop father (Forrest Tucker) beautiful daughter (Kathleen Lloyd), and the rest of the Ironside cast. Here's my gripe: Barbara Anderson gives Kathy Lloyd an album that she's really happy with, and she puts it on a record player. Then, the music that plays is some of dopiest, cheapest junk ever recorded. By that I mean it was played and recorded by old people who thought they knew what young people should listen to, right? It has always seemed to me that even when Hollywood makes a movie and get a name band to play in it, they somehow manage to screw it up. There is no excuse for this insult to the audience. I'm not saying they should have overpowered the screen with good stuff, just a lot better than they did. One of the stupidest movies ever made was saved by the music. I'm talking about Easyrider. Story - stupid; scenery - beautiful; acting - very good - music; great. End of gripe, sorry for the rant, because I like Ironside most of the time..

Ironside's conflict
suewillowick13 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Ironside must make a tough decision in this episode. One of his best friends and former partners finds out that his daughter used marijuana and he becomes obsessed with finding the dealer. He commits a crime and Ironside makes a tough decision. The daughter comes to plead for her father. That scene was the heart of the episode. The lighting was superb to set the mood. The photography was also excellent. Shooting through a rain soaked window showing Ironside alone at first late at night was very effective. And then when Mark appears, Ironside turns while Mark stays as a sounding board. Ironside emerges from the darkness as he wheels toward Mark. It just broke my heart to know that Ironside was very conflicted. It didn't get easy when the daughter came. The episode is a exercise in how loyalty in friendship is sometimes difficult.
