I find Magmadiver an okay episode. It's not anything mind blowing.

What I liked:

Some of the jokes land.

I like the color schemes that they used while in the magma. Even though it's mostly red.

Has an interesting concept.

What I disliked: The fetish aspect of the show was cranked up to 11. Like momentz like the whole pool scene, the fat suit or the hot spring scene.

It felt an episode meant to foreshadow and that's it.

The execution of the episode is meh when it had a really interesting concept,a mission to get an angel before its egg hatches is a nice concept. The execution made it more of just an episode that you would skip.

I personally I think this is the most okay episode out of the bunch. It's not as bad as episode 4,14,25,& 26 but not as good as episode 1,2,8,22,& 24. Just an episode that I would put in the grey area/middle tier.6.5/10 but a 7/10 because I rounded.

episode for information of second impact?

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was rather useless because it taked much of time for inflation fetish. But I can see how Asuka think Rei, and the second impact affect Kaji, Misato, Ritsco, and surprisingly also Asuka.

Magmadiver is a nearly useless episode

The episode only serves to cater to people with an inflation fetish, and not to move anything along, but with worse action and dialogue. Pool scene setting up the later events was basic and extremely telegraphed.

In short: I'd rather watch Jet Alone episode twice than Magmadiver once.
