A very good episode, I liked it mostly for the return to 1969 and seeing Grayson Hall and Thayer David back in their most memorable roles as Dr. Hoffman and Prof. Stokes.
Edward goes to the old house, carrying the gun with silver bullets. We see Barnabas in a trance and his astral being leaves his body. Edward sees Barnabas and knocks the I Ching wands to the floor. Back in 1969, Julia and Stokes see Barnabas' body convulse and then disappear. Stokes thinks Barnabas in now dead.
In 1897, Edward cannot shoot Barnabas but imprisons him in the basement cell, waiting for the dawn to destroy the vampire. Barnabas finds an old desk and puts a note in there for Julia, hoping she will find it in the future.
We see Amy in 1969, finding the letter, giving it to Julia. Julia believes she must go to 1897 to save Barnabas. She takes Amy to Collinwood to try and contact Quentin, we hear his music as the show ends.
