I'd go with "taken for granted", instead. And when I think of someone truly overlooked in this business, my initial response is the editors, because if you aren't trying, then you don't notice how something is cut. I suppose the same could be said for Production Designers. This is the only documentary on the DVD of eXistenZ, and its focus isn't purely on that movie, but on the perfectionist Carol Spier who takes on aforementioned job during production(and does impeccably well at it, judging by this... and usual lovefest aside, it really does sound like she deserves the praise; besides, I don't think David is the type to say something he hasn't thought through), and to an extent, Cronenberg himself. It consists of interviews, behind the scenes footage and clips of the several films that she's done, and that they've both worked on together. They talk about the challenges to the specific ones, and what they like about their respective responsibilities. It's very informative and interesting. There is a little disturbing content in this. I recommend this to any fan of the output of the two film-makers. 7/10
