Let down
Haaitje17 July 2019
This was a let down. The story is all over the place, no logic anywhere to be found. There is almost no character build-up. The story contradicts and changes things established in the original series. For me the worst "season" of the Saint Seiya saga.

Dont waste your precious time with this garbage...please

Okay how do we start with this horror? It makes no sense, absolutely no logic, cliche personalites, constantly defying the events and real logic in the original '86 anime, no character build up, dry, the dialouge is dumb and provoces bordom, the girls need to say everything they do from there simple hand gesture to when someone is "attacking" they literally almost describe the breathing of themselves, the animation started of good but has ended horribly cheap since the start of this horror it had staryed with a tight budget, they made the girls in general too predictable, no excitment in the "battles", no melo-drama nor story development, non original, showdown was boring and predictable, the female athour just grabbed the characters, personalities, sequences, attacks, events from the anime and just made it her trashy version and girly to attrack a female public but has failed miserably, and also she just grabbed our beloved Scorpio Milo as a (I dont want to say it) "love interest" whith the main chrarcter sho to fufill a stupid fantasy with her little OC, come on give me all the dislikes you want but FYI Im a Latin Ameracan Lady myslef who is a Die Hard fan of Saint Seiya:Knights of the Zodiac,I've wacthed Everything Saint Seiya to the '86 classic,TLC, the 4 movies, all 3 Hades Ovas, Overture, Omega,Soul of Gold, Legend of Sanctuary,Netflix remake, and Im reading Next Dimension, I gave them all 10/10 ratings because they really deserve it, but this grabage made me want to rip my own eyes out like Shiryu... Thank Athena this is 100% NON-CANON

The ONLY GOOD thing about it is the animation(only in some episodes), and when any of our beloved original characters reappear in nice animation. Trust me the only pro of this garbage

Full on disgrace and insult to Saint Seiya

I'm going to be honest with you, it's bad, it's really bad, this entire project was trash. Wish this could be rated negatively.

The animation began nice I guess in the first couple of episodes but for Athena was it horrible in the other resting episodes since no one really cared about this horrible project nor it's crappy manga, no one really watched it and it started with a small budget to start, 2/10 on the animation.

Voice acting wasn't bad nor was it good it's a 5/10 really.

Story doesn't make sense at all from a "saintia academy" were they train to the concept of a saintia all the way to the boring showdown, the woman who created this doesn't know how to be original, creative and different that's good she just knows how to copy Masami Kurumada's masterpiece of work from everything absolutely everything he did, she just copy and pasted it changing it to a girly way were they use skirts and girly colors with techniques that remind you of Sailor Moon, actually this entire trash project is basically a ripoff of Sailor Moon in every aspect, she just mixed Saint Seiya and Sailor moon with her horrible homunculus version and mix of it. Even the manga is boring and horrible just like it's "anime". The "showdown" doesn't feel like a showdown it feels like on other one of there boring fights, lacking important story drama or Melo drama at least, development and moments you can connect with, the excitement and adventure with emotion but this "showdown" along with the series was just boring and dry. This also feels like a little Saint Seiya fangirl with crushes on the characters made a really really bad fanfic with girly girls in it along with putting thots in it... oh wait it is. 1/10 on "story".

Characters with no character development, there very boring with no backstory nor purpose why they want to protect Athena and become a saint, they don't make you want to get into them and explore there character at all its just dull and gerneric ones that the creator copied from Masami Kurumada's manga and anime characters. They act like girly girls really. The author just paired up most of her girls to a Gold Saint or some other masculine figure to fulfill her fanfic wishes, it's and insult and a disgrace.

Music and soundtrack was like the voice acting, neither good nor bad, opening and ending theme were uninspiring and boring, 4/10 on music and soundtracks.

Canon? No, absolutely not canon since Masami Kurumada didn't exactly create it nor did he write it at all. So we must be glad its not canon.

Overall it's really bad like I said, it's a just... garbage. 0/10 being honest.

Saint Seiya: Secret Wars
Rectangular_businessman25 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
For me, the main problem this series has is being a prequel/midquel of the original Saint Seiya, instead of a sequel or an alternate work. Since it is a prequel, the inclusion of many elements feel wasted as they won't have any impact on the overall plot of the Sanctuary Arc in order to not alter the canonical storyline: For example, one episode reveals there was a whole order of Saintias that knew the truth about Saga, but they never had the chance to help, interact or even alert Seiya & co about him, and instead they are unceremoniously killed off without achieving nothing.

Because the Saintia Sho characters are unable to interfere in the events during the Sanctuary Arc, their role feels ultimately pointless, being involved instead in a series of "secret" parallel events which honestly don't add very much.

Perhaps the most positive aspect of this series was having the chance to see Eagle Marin again, a character which sadly was completely forgotten by many of these spin-offs. I kinda wish she and Shaina had a more active role here, instead of the Gold Saints taking once again all the spotlight during the final episodes: I get it, they are very popular. I like them too, but honestly, by the final episodes of this season, they even eclipse the main characters. If I wanted to see another series about them, I would watch Soul of Gold again, or I would read Episode G (I wonder if that manga spin off will ever be adapted into animation)

a wasted idea

So they really decided to make a new version of Saint Seiya or to make a version of the female groups. I'll tell you something, I don't mind something like that but if it's not done very well it's very desperation. So this is the second series that I didn't like when Iwatched Soul of Gold So I won't tell you the plot because this anime doesn't have a plot at all This was just an excuse to show this girl group anything that I didn't like then the only thing that I really liked were animation is the female characterthat the girl version of Saiyan is another positive point and when the girl actually meets seiya These are the only positive things I could save For the rest it's not good so the story isn't there the characters aren't written well the fights aren't Great and I like it a lotsorry that I didn't like it because this idea was really very beautiful it's really an injustice that it ended Just like that and now a lot of people say that this anime is not canon that now we can no longer see these warriors in other Saint Seiya works But thisit's not much worse than Soul of Gold because This will still be the worst of all to conclude the rating 4.
