Mr. Peabody, Nero, Sherman and others all take turns playing violins, and references to other famous violinists such as Nick Paganini and Jack Benny abound. However, some mistakes are made in the chronology here. Mr. Benny was NOT a contemporary of Saint Peter. Furthermore, In 2010 French Emperor Napoleon's "Molly Tor" Stradivarius violin sold for a record $3.6 million. Though Italian, Antonio Stradivarius was NOT a fellow countryman of Nero or any other Emperor of Rome, living roughly 1,200 years AFTER the Fall of the Roman Empire. Finally, musicologists conducting "blind" ratings tests on violins have recently discovered that ANYONE can construct a violin superior to a Stradivarius, as long as they have a few scraps of spruce, willow and maple wood.
