Not much to say really other than it would be great to see a return visit when the road is built

Fantastic look into another world!

A well written, presented and honest look at a soon to be lost culture. Livia Simoka is embraced by the Mbendjele, she becomes part of Mama's family and genuinely cares about the tribe. A great piece of film making! I would love for her to re-visit in a few years time for an update on the tribes journey.

Warning: Spoilers
Watched every minute of this docu, unlike most docu's that focus on a tribe's positive aspects only this one had everything from birth, death, infidelity, violence.. everything, unfiltered. It was like being there too. Some heartbreaking scenes though.

Loved how she totally integrated herself into the tribe's way of life seemingly seamlessly, without allowing her presence to alter any part of their way of life. Hope there is season 2 on the way, to see how modernisation changes this tribe.

Hostess needs to clean up her language.
Pizzaowner16 July 2019
We've seen it all before...the tribe as a microcosm of our society with all the comedy and drama of our city lives. Infidelity, theft, bullying....what else would you expect...people are people. Generally it's pretty good with the hostess getting herself fairly involved in the lives of some of the tribe members...mainly women..as you would expect. What is NOT ENJOYABLE however, nor necessary on any level is her choice of language. I'm not a prude and I'm often guilty myself of using bad language but I'm not on TV and being filmed and possible been seen by age groups that might be offended. It's completely un-necessary and should really have been edited out and for this reason I have reduced the rating by 2 stars Shame on you....you're old enough to know better and don't represent Channel 4 TV or the UK in a favourable light......I do hope you regret it in retrospect
