In typical BBC fashion, this pilot Coasts episode of Planet Earth (PE) III was remarkable. There was superior (if even possible) cinematography to PE II and it addressed fascinating new species / storylines. The soundtrack was riveting and amplified every scene. Similarly, the episode was an emotional blend of awe-inspiring nature in its glory and solemness at the calamity that is anthropogenic climate change. However, I watched on AMC+ and quite a bit of the scene transitions were abrupt and almost random. I do not recall this being an issue in PE II when it was on Netflix. Perhaps this is because it is also being aired on cable and thus commercials would fit between scenes. I hope this will be remedied in the future if they could edit and add smoother transitions for the streaming sites.
