The short tale "Sleepy" is one of my favorite stories from Anton Chekhov, featuring a sleep deprived teenage maid who is constantly tormented by the incessant cries of the baby she is taking care of.
The ending of that story is pretty dark, with the maid reaching her breaking point and murdering the baby.
This animation reminded me a bit of that story, particularly near its conclusion (The ending is much happier, though. Or so it seems, considering there is also the implication of an outside influence in the main character) But then again, this is a common situation experienced by many new parents around the world, so maybe the similarities between both works are merely coincidental.
With that said, I consider this a pretty solid pyschological animation, with a nice visual style. Definately worth-watching.
