Am I the only one who thinks Jim Parsons deserves an Emmy?
guapo_andres5 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
At the end of the show, I know I love it, from every character to the direction, the stages, but the biggest thing in this show is the acting, from Darren Criss to Patti Lupone, but, the one who really surprised me was Jim Parsons, his acting envolves his character in a way maybe no other actor could have, he starts as, literally, the devil, and at the end finds his way to redemption, in a scene where you can see in his broken eyes are everyting to describe what than man feels. Maybe the most complex character in the show, by MISTER Jim Parsons

Poor Ending
rfm-630 May 2020
Enjoyed the whole thing until the final episode. Seems like they fell off a cliff at the end threw everything at it and nothing worked.

Exquisite Revisionist Version
marjanansari-657682 May 2022
The idea and revision made to the ending, not only turn the genre into a very provocative-positive thoughts, but also truly depicted bravery, honesty, and generosity of people who could have made changes and leave legacy. Every single episode is embedded with modern ideas and artistic actions of generous-hearted characters. In modern world, no room is left to even think that race/sex/color can stop achievements, but judgmental mindset can slow down our progress.

The award goes too....

(4 out of 5 stars).

The final episode delivers with a good cast. Fun script with the premier of Meg and the award ceremony. The episode does conclude the story arc with most characters. Some have an emotional impact. Some have an happy ending. The oscar scene was emotional and crowd pleasing. Win or lose. The characters wanted to make a change in hollywood.

Um Final de Hollywood

Hollywood (2020)

Finished Series #29

Season 1

Episode Seven - Um Final de Hollywood

I confess that I cried during the entire Oscar segment and the monologue of Queen Latifah's character was very beautiful and sad and to think that this character existed and she suffered all of this.

I swore the wake at the end was for Ernie, but was Dick buried with glasses?

It would be really nice if there was someone at the top of cinema who had the courage and obviously wasn't against minorities, to launch something like that, but I believe that 50 or 100 years ago, the reception would be very different from what was presented in the series, yes There were protests in the series, but I believe that in real life it would be much heavier, if even today there are people who criticize minorities in cinema and television, imagine back then.

I can't like Jim Parsons' character, because of the latest events involving Nickelodeon children and obviously there were several people like that.

Felt too crowd pleasing

Chock full of Hollywood glamour and fabulous clothing. However, it felt like too perfect of an ending.

The Oscar Goes To...
parkerama2 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Episode #7 So the final blow. Everything got wrapped up in the end. I feel for the ending, and if your reading this that you've seen it all so spoilers, for them to win all the awards at the end was unrealistic. Wanted some realism so I could feel I could relate instead of always living in this dreamland.

If the concept is just all a dream and wishing this happened in the 40's cool. But the story could've had a lot more details, more episode. It's an easy watch. I enjoyed watching but other then it being pleasing with set and costume and the acting from Patti LuPone & Jeremy Pope, there wasn't deep real writing involved.

I'm glad it wrapped, many to many funerals in one episode but cool how they ended it I guess. It's all just a fantasy

Generally a good show, but Murphy could do better.
jaslennings3 May 2020
Just finished the show today. SO it is a quality TV show. Exquisite deco and fancy costume. Great casting generally. But the show is missing the point it is trying to make - a more diverse & inclusive Hollywood. As they always say, you cannot just put an Asian, an African American and a latino in the industry without challenging the system itself.

Great show. Avoid the last episode and it's terrible
How to ruin a series with the worst final episode in living memory... Hollywood trying to rewrite history for the snowflake generation. Quite sad really.
