Ballerina Anna Pavlova is appearing in town, Miss Brodie thinks gymnastic student Dorothy has the makings of a great dancer.
An excellent episode, many great scenes for new and minor characters. We first meet Dorothy at home where she breaks some dishes doing one of her gymnast moves. A great scene in the classroom where arithmetic whiz Juliet draws a perfect arc and Dorothy demonstrates it by cartwheeling around the class, causing another class to be disrupted by the noise. Miss Brodie offers to take Sandy, Jenny, Rose, Dorothy and Juliet to see Pavlova. Miss Campbell the gym teacher is becoming more friendly to Miss Brodie, and she wishes to become more cultured. The funniest scene in the series takes place in the gym where Miss Campbell shows Miss Brodie a quick ballet recital with the girls.
