Great show, AWFUL sound!

I think the sound editor is deaf. I would love to watch the show, but I can barely hear anyone speaking. Frustrating to say the least...

I have never written one of these. And I was so surprised to fine the review before me say exactly the same thing. THE BACKGROUND MUSIC IS TOO LOUD!!! Like the show but turn down the volume.

Good program but you show 15 minutes of the program and 45 minutes of commercials! That's pretty ridiculous! Every five minutes I have to mute the remote to keep from hearing all the stupid ads.

SI think most of the critics are not getting it. The stories, however their told are true women mostly last lost their lives to ugly sociopathic men.

No one deserves to die but when a man decides for whatever deep and dark personality that allows to tie up his fiance and bash her hard in, it is hard for me to believe that a human male being is made and is willing to kill and burn is so called lover. Well it allows me reality, not that any of my friends or my liklihood to run in to someone like this, but we all probably know someone that may be capable of abuse. Thin line from abuse to ending a life.

Well I like the show. I don't watch it each week, and merits and demerits be known for the hype in the announcer, but its meant to shock you and they unfortanately have to tell it like it is, with hightlights to the nasty.

I enjoy. I watch in every 3 months however, something I taper.

I've deleted it from my line up due to the overwhelming LOUDNESS of the non stop, obnoxious 'music'. I wear headphones to watch tv at night and this awful music drowns out dialogue to the point of hurting my ears thru the headphones. The last episode I watched while my eardrums were being punctured by the LOUD LOUD LOUD 'music' was the last episode I watched. Removed it from my line up. If enough of us do it, maybe they'll get the hint? They won't HEAR it, but maybe they'll somehow get it???

Obnoxious loud background music

Excellent program but I'm not able to stand the loud and obnoxious background music. I understand the purpose to make it very dramatic but the music is louder than the voice of people telling the story.

I love the idea of this show. I enjoy watching, however, I find it very hard to hear over the loudest background music I've ever heard in a tv show. Is there no way to tone it down so we can HEAR what is being said? Such a shame. Great content. However, horrible editing.

Get rid of background music

Solid reenactments ruined by repetition

Most true crime follows the Forensic Files pacing and moves rather slowly, which works well if you keep up the flow of information; this show, despite having cinematic quality of re-enactments, repeats itself (literally) up to nine times on any data point. That makes any story start moving slowly to the point where the episode bogs down two thirds of the way through, then skips over vital details to get to a conclusion. These producers know a good story to pick but do a terrible job of planning out each episode, resulting in something even more boring than the news that is also even more dramatic. If you let me edit one of these episodes, it would probably be closer to Forensic Files twenty-one minutes (apparently, a half hour of TV minus commercials, PSAs, and station identification) and have much more punch because they really are beautifully filmed.

Interesting show but AWFUL AUDIO

The subject matter is well done but the audio is all over the place. Being hearing impaired and using hearing aids with auto adjust makes this show difficult to follow. I am constantly adjusting the TV volume up to hear the narrator and down for other parts of the show, and then getting my ears blasted out when a commercial comes on.

I would probably like this show. I've watched two episodes, but the background sound is so unbelievably loud that I can't hear the dialogue. It's just too annoying, so I won't watch any more.

WHO EDITS THESE SHOWS??

Who is the sound designer/editor? Rookies??? Who releases the episodes like this? I know NOTHING about filmmaking but surely the experts should know that you can't hear dialog over the music!
