Wow...I want to see more...

This is an exceptional short film. I know this because after it was over, I found myself wanting to see more.

The film begins with a jerk of a father interacting with his young daughter. Throughout the film, the same girl is shown at progressively older ages. Again and again, the father thinks of himself and his daughter is left pursuing his love in vain. Later, in a symbolic reenactment of this relationship, the teenage girl is now chasing men who are emotionally just like dad--aloof and not capable of love. Again and again, you see this likable lady open herself up...only to be hurt. This is a topic seldom talked about and showing this link from her childhood and how it impacts her later was an important point often missed in films. Fortunately, the lady in the film does eventually find a man who cares about her and LOVE leaves the viewer with a sense of hope. There is also a sweetness there that is very compelling.

LOVE gets high marks for exceptional story telling--with a nice style, an intriguing script and nice evocative music that set a nice mood. A sweet film that has some depth to it--offering a good psychological portrait of a little girl in search of love.
