Curiosity Heightens New Reaches and Reaches New Heights
WeatherViolet26 October 2010
First, in the City, it's the perfect day for a camping trip, and so Curious George and the Man with the Yellow Hat leave for ... a camping trip, as the Doorman and Hundley the Doorman's Dachshund see them off. So it's a great day for Curious George, to go camping, and a great day for Hundley the Doorman's Dachshund because Curious George goes camping and cannot mess up his lobby.

Well, the Man with the Yellow Hat takes Curious George to a rural camping site, to chop wood for a campfire, making it perfect for staying warm by nightfall, and perfect for roasting marshmallows. Curious George and the Man with the Yellow Hat then spend the evening camping in sleeping bags within their tent.

But the next morning, as Curious George anticipates another day of camping, the Man with the Yellow Hat tells him that it's time to return to the City, and there, Curious George continues to wear his backpack as though he's still camping. When Curious George and the Man with the Yellow Hat describe their experience to the Doorman, the Doorman suggests that he and Hundley the Doorman's Dachshund go camping, so they invite Curious George, who shows Hundley some of his camping tools along the way.

Now, the Doorman has an auto-navigator to guide the automobile and trailer, instead of Curious George's compass, and upon their arrival, Curious George searches the trailer for a tent, but the Doorman explains that the trailer, television and microwave are powered by a rooftop solar panel, while Hundley the Doorman's Dachshund fights off a colony of ants, which invades the campsite, causing Hundley not to want to stay outside.

Then, while the Doorman prepares dinner inside, with Classical music on his radio, Curious George gathers firewood, which the Doorman explains isn't necessary because he has a microwave oven.

And then, when it begins to rain, Hundley the Doorman's Dachshund objects to remaining outdoors, while Curious George delights, but when the Doorman tries to close the overhead sun-hatch, the satellite disk knocks the solar panel from the roof, while the rains flood the trailer, leaving a major mess indoors and outdoors, and ruining the auto-navigator in the process.

Well, Curious George wonders what an expert camper would do to solve some of these problems, and so he pitches a tent, while Hundley the Doorman's Dachshund finds dry firewood inside of a tin case, which permits the Doorman to suspend the sleeping bags above the fire, while Curious George collects more sticks to roast food over the campfire.

So, along their return journey to the City, a Goof evidently surfaces, as the sunroof miraculously disappears from the intact roof of the trailer. And for the next week, Curious George wears his knapsack to prepare for his next camping trip, but if it's up to Hundley the Doorman's Dachshund to select the next camping site, then where will Curious George accompany him, while "Camping with Hundley?"

Next, in the City, Curious George awakens the Man with the Yellow Hat to pull him from his bed, to watch an amusement park commercial with a Pirate Spokesman's promoting Zany Island, to showcase a ride upon the Turbo Python 3000 Roller Coaster.

Well, Curious George persuades the Man with the Yellow Hat to change his schedule to take him to Zany Island, where Betsy and Steve join the Man with the Yellow Hat and Curious George, them to announce their excitement to ride the Turbo Python 3000. But as Betsy, Steve and Curious George anticipate the ride, the Man with the Yellow Hat feels upset because the last time which he rode a roller coaster was as a child, as the Boy with the Yellow Hat, and not a pleasant experience when his Yellow Hat blew away.

But then, Roller Coaster Operator tells a Small Boy and Curious George that they aren't tall enough to ride the Turbo Python 3000, because they don't reach the minimum height requirement according to the poster, and so Curious George tries to measure up to Betsy and Steve, by borrowing a top hat from a carnival employee who happens by, but Roller Coaster Operator isn't fooled by Curious George's disguise.

Now, the Man with the Yellow Hat decides that before the day is over, he is determined to ride that Turbo Python 3000 somehow, but continues to experience flashbacks of his negative experience as the Boy withe the Yellow Hat. So, while Curious George is determined to ride, the Man with the Yellow Hat is determined to avoid repeating this negative experience.

Then the Small Boy, whom the Roller Coaster Operator rejects, teams with Curious George to attempt to grow to the required height, like Carnival Strong Man, and so Curious George decides to exercise by lifting weights, eating licorice like a giraffe, and stretching himself while suspended from a bar by his feet (or second set of hands).

And as a Young Mother tells her Baby to sleep in order to grow, Curious George takes a nap upon the bench beside them and dreams that now he has grown and grown although now too big to ride the Turbo Python 3000.

But, as Betsy stands in line with Aunt Margaret, Steve and the Man with the Yellow Hat, Betsy loses her cap in the wind, reminding the Man with the Yellow Hat of that fateful day as the Boy with the Yellow Hat, when the Man with the Yellow Hat lost his Yellow Hat, and so, after he rescues Betsy's cap, the Man with the Yellow Hat realizes that what he fears most would be to lose his Yellow Hat.

So, as Pirate Spokesman figures a way for a monkey to measure up to the required height, will the Man with the Yellow Hat finally figure a way to resolve his apprehensions along with "Curious George vs. the Turbo Python 3000?"
