This was another Metro Movietone Revue I enjoyed
tavm4 December 2012
This was the second of the Metro Movietone Revue musical shorts hosted by Jack Pepper that was on The Broadway Melody DVD. He first intros Joseph Regan who pleasantly sings another romantic tune. Then it's once again The Ponce Sisters who are once again the most charming bunch in the show! Then it's another George Dewey Washington turn with his charming baritone. Then it's Ella Shields singing about the King's army and doing a dance during it. Finally, Jack Pepper sings two songs, the first being that he has one mama down in New Orleans (a two-hour drive where I live) and another one up in Maine and then "St. Louis Blues" in a falsetto! I enjoyed this one pretty well, this Metro Movietone Revue. I think that was all of them...
