Fun enough indie effort
kannibalcorpsegrinder13 April 2023
After a series of strange encounters, a reporter is tasked with investigating the murders and finds they're being committed by a murderous zombie baby that's killing everyone it comes across, forcing her to find a way to stop it from continuing its rampage.

This was a highly enjoyable and fun indie effort. One of the main positives featured here is the sheer glee and joy shown by how wild and bonkers this one gets. As the film gradually reveals its main purpose involving the deformed mutant's rampage across the community and the seemingly random people it encounters, getting to see the enjoyably bizarre action that takes place of the creature coming out to wreak havoc in the town. Seeing how the creature came into being and getting a motive for why it's trying to take out everyone with the hitman's assassination effort taking place and the resulting chaos of each encounter as the full idea of what its doing becomes quite enjoyable over time. Those encounters are generally fun as it enhances the goofiness and overt silliness of the premise into action. From the initial setups involving the creature appearing out of the toilet and getting the drop on victims who are unaware of its existence or presence and then having to make believe that the doll is a realistic being creates a series of inherently goofy and silly that continues throughout the film. Getting quite wild in the finale as the series of twists revealed there offers some generally fun situations as the baby strikes in unexpected locations that play into the cheesiness of the situation rather well. All told, these elements combine with its over-the-top sense of humor to make for a pretty fun film. There isn't much really wrong to be had here. The main factor that stands out is the seemingly random and disjointed storyline that comes off more like vignettes than anything resembling a straightforward story. Going through random characters and their encounters with the murderous entity feels like a random assembly of scenes intercut somewhat randomly that come and go in the story. This approach can make it somewhat difficult to follow at times with a jarring, discordant feel due to a wide array of plot points featured here. Even though they do come together in the end, it does feel slightly distracting at this point due to the various storylines featured here, which like the low-budget effects work in this one tends to be the main factors against this one.

Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language, and scatological humor.
