The incident has coincided with Greatest Hits Radio announcing today that Sharp is leaving the Bauer Media Group station to “explore other opportunities.” It is understood that Bauer made a decision some time ago not to renew Sharp’s contract, which expires at the end of March. However, having been made aware of the incident, Bauer said Sharp will “not return to the station with immediate effect.”

The Wheel spun another great episode with The Flame of Tar Valon.
The Wheel of Time Season 1 Episode 6 saw our villagers reunite (finally) with each other -- and with Moiraine.
Things also heated up with the politics within the White Tower, and Moiraine suffered the consequences.
Many reunions happened throughout the hour, and it was a delight to see everyone (sort of) in the same place again.
The biggest reunion happened between Nynaeve and Egwene, as the former mentored her before the events of The Two Rivers.
Seeing them reunite in the White Tower was beautiful but rushed.
The reunions felt rushed, and the episode would have been stronger if they had lingered on the emotions of seeing each other after over a month apart.
Logain finally faces his punishment now that they have reached the White Tower.
He wants to die; he begs to be killed but gets forced...

Exclusive: Amazon Prime Video’s series adaptation of Robert Jordan’s best-selling The Wheel Of Time fantasy novels has come out of the gate strong.
“We can firmly say that Wheel of Time was the most watched series premiere of the year and one of the Top 5 series launches of all time for Prime Video,” Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke told Deadline about the debut, acknowledging that the company — like most streamers — “try to figure out how transparent we are going to be in the future” with ratings.
Prime Video is among the SVOD platforms that do not disclose viewership data but Salke revealed that “there were tens and tens of millions of streams” for The Wheel Of Time in the first three days of its release, with the US, India, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany as the top countries.

One of the central appeals of Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time is how the late author managed to make his fantasy world feel both huge and small at the same time. It’s a tricky feat Prime Video’s adaptation struggledto pull off during its first two episodes.
But with Episode 3, titled “A Place of Safety,” the showrunners manage to convey that epic yet intimate scope using a technique I honestly didn’t expect to see. The best shows, fantasy or otherwise, know when to expand their horizons and become about something deeper and wider than the original...

The Wheel begins, as so many other movies do, with a couple driving to a cabin in the woods. He’s conciliatory but increasingly frustrated; she’s sullen, more focused on her phone than the scenery. The trip is a last-ditch effort to save their eight-year marriage, not that she seems all that optimistic about their prospects. They’re greeted at their Airbnb by a host who might be a bit too friendly, at least for the wife’s taste.

Michael McIntyre's The Wheel debuted in November on BBC One and has quickly become a very popular show in the UK. Now, NBC has decided to launch a version of the comedic game show in the United States.
The peacock network has ordered 10 episodes of The Wheel and it seems likely they'll launch the series this year, especially considering the format is conducive to the age of social distancing.
The competition provides three contestants an opportunity to battle it out through general knowledge questions. The objective is to keep their spot at the center of the wheel. Only that contestant has a chance to take home a life-changing sum of money at the end of the game. The contestants aren't alone as there are seven celebrity experts on the wheel, ready to help them answer...

The Wheel, the British game show hosted by comedian Michael McIntyre, is heading to the U.S. NBC has ordered a 10-part series based on the BBC format, the latest UK entertainment format adapted by the U.S. network following its reboot of Weakest Link with Jane Lynch.
The series, which launched in the UK last year and is produced by Hungry McBear Media, sees celebrities attempt to help contestants win money via a spinning wheel.
In each show, seven celebrities are strapped to the circumference of the giant wheel. Each celebrity has brought one area of expertise to the show – and it is on these areas that the contestants must answer questions. The contestants themselves are underneath The Wheel, on another smaller wheel. This contestant wheel is spun, and whichever contestant is randomly selected, rises up on their chair, to take their place at the center of The Wheel and begin the game.

Dating back at least to 1977, when Aretha Franklin, Paul Simon, and Linda Ronstadt performed during Jimmy Carter’s first day on the job — and all the way up to Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez at Joe Biden’s swearing-in ceremony — it hasn’t been unusual for rock and pop stars to play presidential inaugurations. Still, there was nothing quite like the sight, 12 years ago tonight, of the Grateful Dead jamming for Barack Obama.
