I wondered how vegetarians felt about this episode? The character who could not resist meat, Oliver, is presumably educationally sub-normal, but was the portrayal sympathetic or authentic? Was it reasonable to present the vegetarian girlfriend, Joanie, as so tolerant of bigotry and offensive behaviour?
