I love this series, so even one of the weaker episodes get 6/10 from me. There is some plot development here, in reminding us how differences between Harley and Ivy are likely to cause problems in the relationship: in this case, Harley does a nice thing for Ivy in taking her to a garden paradise but then, when Ivy likes it, Harley quickly gets bored. Although that's a good exploration of characters, it's not very funny. The only parts of this episode that I found funny were the bits with Commissioner Gordon, Two Face and the Mayor. Without giving a spoiler, there is a fight at the end. It fell flat for me. I like how this series brings in the obscure characters from the comics, but this one lost the humour. I am typing from Britain and only just saw this on E4. I hope that future weeks have better episodes.

Following on from the end of the last season, Harley and Ivy go and live for the moment. And spend the rest of the episode discovering a purpose for this season.
Didn't this used to be funny? Unfortunately the two lead characters, Harley even more than Ivy, become complete narcissists. I didn't like them at all in this episode. And the relationship drama allows for nothing much in the way of humour.
This is mildly better when other characters get sub plots. But even those are only fitfully entertaining. One laugh loud moment in the entire episode is down to something Amanda Waller does. And I felt like doing it myself by that point.

Season 3 letdown

First 2 seasons are hilarious. It feels season 3 has different writers who were told to make it zany and random, and none of it tracks. The first episode is tortuous and unfunny and downright dull and it tries too hard, but it just misses the magic that made this show so wonderful.

Really disappointing start to the season. They spent season 1 building ivy and Harleys friendship, season 2 building their romantic connection, and in the very first episode of season 3 they're having major issues together.
If you want to make that the general storyline of season 3 at least give it some time. Show the good parts, the honeymoon period, but instantly everything is going wrong. How can it flip so quickly, just 2 weeks after the end of season 2 where they drive off bonnie and clyde style. Lazy storytelling.
Also, why is Harley sooooooo annoying. I cant stress this enough, really makes it difficult to watch, and whats the benefit? If you're going to make a character that annoying you at the very least need to have someone to put her in her place or make fun of. I echo the other reviews, seem to be relying on swear words and crazy grahpic antics and hoping that will be good enough- its not.
Poor writing, no storyline and hard to watch.
Edit: Interesting to note the list of directors for this season, they seem to change each episode with no continuity. If you look at season 1 and 2 every episode has Cecilia Aranovich as the supervising director which helps to understand the improved storytelling. This season looks like an annoying mess.

I loved the 1st and 2nd season but this episode was super boring, no joker ,doctor psycho or kite man, other than some romantic scenes of harlivy, there is no comedy, no entertainment, no storyline in this episode. Disappointing!
An Awful Annoying Mess

I recently signed Harley Quinn, while I thought the show was pretty meh, I was still curious to see what the third season was going to be like. So after watching the first out of three, it was pretty bad. The jokes mostly fell flat, Harley gave me a headache for the first time when watching this show, and most of the plot this episode is Harley and Ivy go on some love fest together. And this apparently has all happened in two weeks after everything happened. The show has been building up to their eventual get together, but then they immediately show that the relationship has been strained. Don't do that, do that after 4 episodes so we can develop the relationship and slowly explore why their relationship might be strained. We also get a look at this seasons plot line which is Edin. Which has got to be the most in interesting plotline, Poison Ivy trying to make a plant world. The first season was about Harley trying to make it in an under dog fashion in the criminal world. The second was about her trying to claim Gotham as her territory but then half way through turned into some cheesy love story. This season is about Ivy trying to make a plant world... Okay? Anyway, it's a boring stupid mess, and it deserves the 2/10 rating.
