I liked the beginning, it seemed well scripted and well put together but once i got to the last fifteen minutes i didn't't quite understand how Ellen went from being a 12 year old girl to being in grade 11 or 12. I thought it may have meant the other girls were in college or something but when i found out that they weren't and Janie's mom was still dying it just soured the rest of the film. I guess though over all the story was good, the actresses tried their best to stay in mood, and the script was solid. So despite the gigantic plot hole and a few smiles when there should have been tears, from one Zayachkowski to another: Good Job Chris!
