Very funny!

Considering the lack of a budget and time, I felt this was put together really well. It was incredibly funny and would love to see it developed into a series.

You could connect to the main characters. From the sad and lonely to the horrors of online dating and emoticons :D (see what I did there?) to having to find a new bar because you slept with the bartender... I mean who hasn't been there?

I appreciate the dry wit throughout and Parrish Hurley's performance was a pleasure to watch.

Seems to be a very eclectic cast and love that one of the main is a gay character.

Awesome

I loved every minute. Apparently, I cannot be concise since this thing requires 10 lines so now I will attempt in the allotted space to convince you, dear reader just exactly why I loved every minute. And when I say every minute, I mean it. Actually, I'm not even sure I CAN compress my appreciation for such a powerful film into a 10 line summation. I think that if I really got started explaining how amazing The (718) is and how much it has influenced me and my career as a fellow creative, I could potentially be on here all day. Therefore, I would like to conclude with the original sentiment... I loved every minute.

uniquely witty and the perfect pick-me-up

Warning: Spoilers
SPOILERS. It seems that Stephen just can't catch a break when it comes to dating. As you watch his crazy mishaps with the guys he goes out with, you are torn between cringing for him, and laughing so hard you can hardly breathe. It is refreshing and real and at the end of even a bad day, maybe for you or maybe for Stephen, you can still watch this and smile and know that things will look up. With the support of his friends and a cynical yet optimistic view on life, you know Stephen will find Mr. Right some day, and you just hope you can enjoy the hysterically entertaining and very real journey with him. (And a part of you selfishly hopes he doesn't find him too quickly, because it's just too entertaining to end too soon.) <3

Intelligently written, sarcastic, awkwardly amusing...

POSSIBLE SPOILERS: LOVE it! It's so intelligently written, witty, sarcastic, full of humorous sexual innuendos. I felt for the protagonist, Stephen, in all his (hysterically awkward & uncomfortable) dating mishaps, his 2 friends had their own issues (loved how one was obsessed with women who wore pearls LOL), but offered humor & ears to listen at the bar, like they're the constants in each others' lives. I think very highly of Parrish from having seen him in/met him at Vermont Shakespeare Company's production of Much Ado About Nothing over the summer, and I'm really SO proud of him that he's created something like this. Brilliantly written & acted & can't wait for more!

Hilarious - brilliantly written

I loved it. The 718 is extremely clever and well written. The premise gives the show so many directions for the story to go and for hilarity to ensue. The character "Stephen" is spot on with his serious, yet conflicted, awkward and goofy approach to the role. There are so many great one-liners and funny dialogue. It will be fun to see how the other characters shake things up as their roles gain more depth. The subway "conscience" is also a hilarious addition to the cast and provides the perfect vessel for Stephen's inner voice to express itself. I love all the Brooklyn references as well. Local Brooklyn-ites will enjoy that aspect. I think it can only get better and cannot wait to see what comes next. Fantastic!
