This movie is called THUG LOVE but there wasn't a "thug" in sight

I'm gonna start on a positive note with this mini review of the film and that is if the lead actress wasn't in the film, I would've shut it off halfway through. She's very beautiful, attractive, has a great presence and a great actor. I don't know her so I don't want anyone thinking I know her (I wish). This film is a clear example as to why you should have beautiful people with talent in film. I actually thought she was the producer or had a hook up with the filmmaker because from a technical standpoint, she was the only one, and I mean ONLY ONE who was filmed very well. her light was on point and she looked great in every shot; however all the other actors in the film were either lit way too dark, or at worst, shown at a profile which is a big no no. This story would've been more engaging if she actually dated "a thug" not some short muscular guy with a tank top who wasn't believable at all. I didn't see no history with the character's background of a thug, you didn't see his "crew", nothing reflected "thug", what I got was a pretty boy with muscles. It wasn't convincing, the movie itself wasn't convincing but the lead actress kept me watching. And who has sex with pants or their underwears on??? Filmmaking is suppose to give us an illusion; therefore the sex scenes should've been shot as thus instead it was so sloppy, tacky and all over the place with no direction. This could have been a hot movie if the writers sat down and ask themselves what do these characters want and need and why should I CARE.

Warning: Spoilers
Destiny (Millena Gay) is a successful advertising exec. who is going through a painful divorce with Will (Byron Marc Newsome) a man who verbally berates her. On the rebound she meets Troy (Rich Paul) who is an extreme player, although I never got the impression either men were "thugs." Troy opens Destiny sexually as they go to a sex club. Destiny works suffers a little, she talks to a shrink, and sits in a church. Roll credits.

The acting was poor and the writing horrible.

Sex, no nudity

Jessica Sinclaire's Thug Love

Destiny Charles is a 40-something advertising executive who has never really recovered from her difficult divorce 3 years ago. Ambitious and career oriented, she has spent the last few years alone and is hesitant about starting any new relationships. However, when she meets Troy, a handsome, streetwise artist that is half her age, all that changes. Troy comes from the streets and knows how to get what he wants. He has no past, and unconcerned about the future, he recklessly gets caught up in the world of urban decay which permeates his neighborhood. A true lost soul though not as tough as his exterior suggests, Troy will stop at nothing to convey his passion to Destiny.

Confident and sensuous, he is everything Destiny is looking for. As he seduces her, luring her into his life and catering to her deepest fantasies, the line between eroticism and obsession slowly begin to blur. Troy awakens Destiny s most hidden desires, but this hot can only burn for so long. The deeper they go, the harder it is to for Destiny to untangle herself from the erotic and dangerous web Troy has caught her in.
