Social hamster influencer.

'Hamster Hell 2 (2020)' is a dark satire of the way in which social media influencers often use animals as props in their videos. It's about a hamster who is purchased by a hipster who intends to create the next viral animal sensation. Sadly, the hamster is injured in one of the stunts meant to achieve this. Even this is taken advantage of, though, and the internet goes wild for '#squashedham'. Its satire is quite biting and its gore is, as you'd expect from Hardcastle, full-on. Though it's intended as a black comedy, it's actually rather tragic (much like its predecessor). The animation is much improved when compared the original 'Hamster Hell (2012)', as is the overall aesthetic. Still, the two pictures are generally comparable in quality. This is a solidly engaging experience that's much more sad than it is funny.
