This episode introduces us to the pokemon Frosslass. I remember back when I eagerly awaited pokemon being introduced to the anime. Now there's so many of them it's the anime that introduces me to them. I haven't even seen most of these pokemon before. This episode features a Frosslass that doesn't trust humans. Well, the plot isn't that original. The animation is still as nice as most of the other episodes. Frosslass admits it did the wrong thing when it imprisoned Meowth and Piplup.
The main villain turns out to be a pokemon poacher. I'm reminded of "A Poached Ego!" only this poacher was nowhere near as good. It's still a pretty solid episode. I took points away for Team Rocket turning on Ash in the end. Well, they did do sort of a variant. They end up tripping on snow and blast off by simply turning into a snowball. I guess it's not much of a double cross if they don't really get anywhere. ***
