Terrific performance by Fazal. Watch out for one of the most terrifying n heart pounding onscreen nightmare (the theater/popcorn one).
Fella_shibby30 June 2021
This one started off slow but kept me glued to it. Apart from the terrific performance, this episode's climax is twisted n dark.

The female who played the wife is damn hot n the scene where she is standing behind the hospital curtain is downright creepy.

Loved the CLIMAX.
MandalBros-526 June 2021
The basic story idea is kept same as of the Original story of Ray. What I liked is Srijit Mukherji has shifted the story into a very DARKER ZONE. And what a Climax it was, loved it completely. I don't know whether the last 5 mins were really shot in One Take or not, if yes then it's great.

Ali Fazal did a commendable job again and loved Shweta Basu Prasad.

Only the length of this film is quite big, I think last some scenes could've been edited out. Otherwise I totally liked 'Forget Me Not'.

Available on Netflix.

Just Chills.
pratikiyer25 June 2021
An episode worth remembering. Ali Fazal brings out his A-Game in this episode of "RAY". It being first episode of the series. It is a story about an Entrepreneur who never forgets anything facing a past memory that he has forgotten.

A beautifully written and directed episode with a fast paced screenplay. A gripping thriller and a dark comedy episode that fits well with this brilliant cast. 10/10.

Can't believe that such stories were written about 30-40 years ago!
hehebwoi-6927 June 2021
Simply wow! From the story to the epic camerawork, everything was top notch! Tbh Forget Me Not's premise actually has that potential to be made into a full scale movie. Finest psychological thriller i have ever come across. Ali Fazal has done a great work. And Srijit Mukherjee, my god, what else can I say about him. This was the second best the series in my opinion. Go for it!

Excellent Adaptation
sankhajitka44 July 2021
Being a bong I have been introduced with Satyajit Ray's creation in my childhood only. The main story, Bipinbabur Smritibhram is quite neurological & suspenseful so as the adaptation. Srijit, the director did justice to the main story. The entire cast performed so well that left me speechless and of course Ali Faisal delivered a formidable performance.

Average
SleepingMorpheus26 June 2021
First of all, Ali Fazal's acting is really amazing in this, he carries the whole episode. Also, the cinematography is top notch. Positives end here.

This episode suffers mostly from pacing issues. It drags on and on, screenplay is underwhelming compared to original writing, unnecessarily complicated at times. Direction is pretty average. It could have gained much from having losing 20 mins and tight writing.

Watch it for the brilliant Ali Fazal.
Perspicuity110 July 2021
The first thing that I noticed in this film is what a fine young actor this Ali Fazal is. He has polished himself so well in the last few years, he should be talked about like other actors of his age, but unfortunately that is not the case. His popularity is nowhere close to actors like Ranbir, Ranveer or even non-actors like Kartik Aryan and Varun Dhawan. The movie starts of in a very stylized manner and moves along at a pretty good pace, but then it slows down and becomes confused as to where to go next, and how to proceed further, just like the lead character of the film. After a while you start wondering as to why is this story taking so long to reach its conclusion. The actual story by Satyajit Ray is quite short and simple, this film on the other hand added quite a few layers to the original story. I just feel the director waited way too long to unravel the story. Great acting by Ali Fazal, he is very convincing displaying every single state of mind Ipsit Nair goes through. Other actors have done a fine job, but the story doesn't offer them a lot to do. 'Forget Me Not' is strictly average.

Predictable with lots of illogical reasonings
rishabhagrawal-3348611 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It is a thrilling but very predictable story which has lots of illogical reasonings (spoiler alerts)

1. Why wouldn't the antagonist just keep the child. No one forced her for abortion, but still she blamed the aborting on the protagonist.

2. Why would one accept the offer of peon and take revenge later? A self respecting person would never take such a job.

3. Why would the protagonist become insane by just a simple incident which he cannot remember?

I liked the story, but these illogical reasonings are hard to swallow.

An unforgettable psychological thriller movie!
NisargDalal4430 June 2021
Disclaimer: I haven't read any Satyajit Ray's short stories, so I am not qualified to comment on whether the film lives upto the short story.

'Forget me not' is a story of Ipsit Raman Nair(Ali Fazal), a man with a memory of a supercomputer, who one day is encountered upon by a lady who reminds him of some memories that Ipsit cannot reminisce. The film is shot mostly from Ipsit's perspective & Kafkaesque style adopted in the screenplay perfectly gels with the psychological genre.

The performances of all the cast members is commendable. Ali Fazal plays Ipsit Nair, an arrogant, ruthless corporate tycoon brilliantly except in some scenes where his body language is excessive for the dialogues he delivered. Shweta Basu Prasad as Fazal's personal secretary has done a fine job. Neeraj Purohit as Rahul, Ipsit's business partner is brilliant.

Cinematography is excellent. One shot stands out for me where Ipsit is driving his car while checking his phone.

Screenplay is out of the box. One has to be on hi/her toes all the time while the film progresses.

This one is highly recommended for psycho-thriller genre fans.

Ali fazal is an A list actor
sandeepmalhi-0585628 June 2021
Credits to Ali fazal and half the other actors. The actress portraying his wife wasn't convincing. There are some lapses which you will notice. And more when you watch it the second time. I watched it twice because my gf hadn't watched it yet. Would had been great had the writers tried not to emphasise so much on Ipsit losing his memory. Some incidences don't quite make sense. You'll get it once you've watched the whole episode. Still good tho. Left a heavy feeling after watching.

Ali Fazal's performance holds this overlong mystery drama
sahil-masrur78625 June 2021
Deriving pretty much from its source material, Srijit Mukherji's take on Bipin Choudhury'r Sritibhram is tedious, long and dragging but with a twist which if anyone who knows the story knows its coming but in a Srijit Mukherji style. Fazal's earnest performance makes this one watchable.

Ali Fazal steals the show, but the ending leaves a lot to be desired! !!! !
abhishek-368097 October 2021
The buildup of the story is very engaging. Expected from a directed of the calibre of Srijit. Ali Fazal plays Ipsit to perfection and so does the rest of the cast. Certain moments were unnecessary and could have been framed much better. But it is the climax which leaves a bitter taste. I feel the run time could have been extended by thirty minutes or so to allow the ending to settle down. Loved every bit other than the last 15 minutes. Watch it for Ali Fazal.
