Aoi Hana: A wonderful lesbian romance anime

Normally, i'm not the kind of girl who likes romance movies / animes. But this series showed me just how much potential in this genre lies.

"Aoi Hana" is about a lesbian romantic relationship in an all-girl high school. I don't want to spoiler anything, so i'll just say that the story is quite good and it could surprise me more than one time.

Just a note: there are no erotic scenes.

The visuals are quite appealing and contribute to the overall experience. I watched it in HD 720p and can only recommend to watch it in 720p, if possible.

I watched it with the original Japanese sound and the voices are really good. Since the voices affect the atmosphere of the anime i heavily recommend to watch with the Japanese audio and subtitles of your choice.

When i searched for negative aspects i found only one: The series is rather short with 11 episodes.

All in all "Aoi Hana" left me with a nice, warm feeling. It is a beautiful composition of visuals, story and characters and i can recommend it to EVERYONE.

Felt dissapointed watching this

This is my first Yuri film and I always was an anime fan which of course there would be some animes that would disappoint me. Unfortunately, this is one of them. I just felt that the main characters were a bit similar in personality as well as the way they look. Also, I feel the writers are considering girls weak as having one of the main characters always crying. I look at Yaoi anime and feel that its way ahead of Yuri which it doesn't need to be because there are a lot of different personalities in women as well as men too . There should also be more involvement in pushing lesbian anime as well with gay anime to success!

Maybe I'm overeacting here but I'm just heavily dissapointed with this series and its storyline. I would like to have liked it but it just didn't turn right for me personally which is such a pity ; (

Maybe this show gets more interesting over time, but its a romance so that's doubtful. The animation is nice, nothing too special. The music and overall tone just seems to be designed for the whole thing to come off as boring as possible.
