For distribution, the company has signed a first-look deal with UK-, Toronto- and La-based distributor Content Media Corp. led by...

The Comic-Con 2012 schedule has now been released in full, and barring any major updates, is set. The blessing and curse of being an attendee is deciding which panels/autograph sessions/special events to attend, when they conflict. And they always do.
For you to see for yourself, below are what we are calling the “headliner” panels; those panels that are taking place in Hall H, Ballroom 20, Room 6Bdf, and the just-next-door Hilton Indigo Ballroom, the four major venues for panels. There are descriptions of each panel as well as the show(s) and/or movie(s) they are there to discuss.
See how many conflicts you might have, or how you might arrange time and space to somehow attend these plus spend every day in the vendors’ Exhibit Hall and chasing zombies in the nearby The Walking Dead Escape. By the way, if you figure that out, Please let us know.

Rodrigo Gudino does not sleep. I'm convinced of it. Between running the Rue Morgue empire and now working on the Rue Morgue Cinema first feature film, The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh, I can't see where the man has time to lay his head down to rest. And today he's shared with us the name if the star of Rosalind Leigh, Canadian actor Aaron Poole.
Poole, a 2009 Genie Award Best Actor nominee, has been featured in such films as This Beautiful City, Killing Zelda Sparks and Adoration.
The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh will begin filming in October in Toronto and horror fans can only imagine what the mind of Mr. Gudino has waiting for them. Stay tuned for more info!

I hope you've been keeping up with Falling Skies, the hit TNT show about an alien invasion of Earth. As you may recall from my Falling Skies review, I was a little hesitant about predicting viewer response after the first couple of episodes. I liked the show, but this is a tricky genre in terms of guessing how audiences will respond. Well, they apparently responded quite well, and you probably know that the show has been picked up for a second season.
Actually, I was especially curious about how fans would react to the last couple of episodes, and now that they've aired, I'd be interested to know what people thought of them.
But, it's finale time now, and this Sunday brings an episode you don't want to miss. It's all been building up to this, and the 2-hour finale is going to throw out a lot of interesting material,...

Well, Falling Skies has launched, and the debut ratings were impressive. If you're like me, you took a shine to the character John Pope, and there is a lot of him coming up in the show, and with some interesting spins. Pope is played by Colin Cunningham, and I got a chance to talk to him recently about the show, shows generally, and his character. It was a great conversation, and I hope that translates (it usually doesn't quite work). For my money, a lot of the best hope of the continued success of the show comes down to how Pope figures into things, and I think Colin gives a fun, interesting, and layered performance that is worth watching.
Just because the show is so new, I'm going to include the official rundown on both the character and Cunningham before jumping right into the interview. Have fun.

In just a few days, TNT will begin airing Falling Skies, its hope that it can succeed in a genre that hasn't performed especially well of late, and a lot of that hope rests on the fact that it gets to use the names Noah Wyle and Steven Spielberg (not necessarily in that order).
The main idea people are going to attach to the show is that it has aliens in it, but it actually has a lot more in common with things like the classic British series Survivors (or the remake), than with the alien-related offerings that have made their way to television recently.
We enter the show with the alien invasion long underway. In fact, the Earth is fairly well conquered already, and the human survivors are few and far between. Technological comforts are rare, and so is food, and existence has devolved into mere survival. Small pockets of resistance have formed,...

HBO Canada announced that it renewed its half-hour series Living in Your Car for a second season.
With the unstable economy as a backdrop, we follow Steve Unger (John Ralston), a fallen corporate executive whose rule of the financial world comes to an abrupt halt when he is arrested and charged with fraud, obstruction and racketeering. After cutting a deal to get out of prison, Steve quickly realizes his old life no longer exists: his former colleagues shun him, his wife, Lori (Ingrid Kavelaars), and daughter, Kate (Mariah Horner), don’t want to live with him, and even his own parents refuse to help him. As he clings desperately to the last vestige of his former self – a luxury sedan – Steve finds himself under court order to teach an ethics class, forbidden from working in any position that involves other people’s money, and making a new home for himself in his car.
