Heartfelt debut drama by Martin Squirrell.

Grave follows a boy coming to terms with his mother's death. The tension builds between him and his emotionally unavailable father, who is unable to offer him comfort, partly because he is too distracted by his new wife.

The boy's only other relative is his sister, who herself is grief-stricken.

His Mother's ghost begins to appear to him. She ice skates through the cold mist, which works well against the harsh Cornish winter that provides the backdrop to the film.

Grave is beautifully shot and takes us on a moving journey of a boy attempting to work his way through a brutal and traumatic reality.
