Pretty Cure Meets Pokémon
jeremycrimsonfox4 November 2021
Another cartoon from South Korea, Catch! Tennieping is a magical girl anime like the Pretty Cure series, but mixes in the catch em all element from Pokémon. The series revolves around Romi, a princess from the Emotion Kingdom, who comes to Harmony Town to stop the Teeniping, mischievous creatures who can alter people's emotions, usually causing havoc as a result. Together with her Teeniping, Heartspring, Romi transforms to capture them.

Basically, the characters looks like characters from Miraculous Ladybug, but that is not a problem. The various Teeniping are varied, and the stories are good. The bad things are the English dub does not match character lip sync at times, and there is no major villain or bumbling duo or trio trying to capture the Teeniping for evil purposes.

Good enough

It's a pretty good series if you ask me, but I felt that it could be better.

Firstly, the Teenipings are cute and funny, but the annoying thing is that they are always saying their names after sentences, which is a bit weird. Dadaping is real weird in this case; always saying 'dada' even in serious cases.

Also, look closely at their colour, the girl Teenipings are always in "girly" colours and boy Teenipings are in boy colours. This can make girls and boys, subtly makes them feel if they like the other gender's colour, they can become a laughingstock

But rest about the show is amazing! Animation, plot dubbing and voice acting is all amazing!

A Korean version of Winx Club/Sailormoon and Pokemon/Yokai Watch
sisubalan22 January 2023
Just a very beautiful 3d animation with explosive colors. Cute sound tracks and scores setting up a very bright magical tone. Adorable characters and fairies. I tried but i really dont like to watch it on its original korean audio - sounds too much and overexaggerated. To be honest, the original korean voice castings doesnt match the characters design nor the tone setup of the animation. So i watched it on english audio (English Dubbed), which was way better and tolerable.

Nothing much in terms of the storyline which basically center around Romi (Princess of the Emotion Kingdom) running the bakery business with the help from her friends/colleagues as well as those adorable Teeniepings (Fairies from Emotion kingdom) - Episodic plots.

What made it interesting for me was the idea of introducing and catching various Teeniepings (very much like Pokemon and Yokai Watch), each with different designs and abilities that can influence your mood/various emotions and helping Romi around in making cookies/cakes and other pastries. Very magical and very much like playing a monster collecting game. The transformation scene was very reminiscene of Sailor Moon and Winx Club.

Cute intro song and outro. The duration of each episode were about 10 minutes. Very family friendly and something that anyone would enjoy, eveb adults. Recommended.

Colourful trash
B3ntheboy7 November 2021
This show is god awful. The animation is bad, the dubbing is garbage and the storylines are atrocious. All round trash that teaches kids nothing and is annoying to watch/listen to.

Cool show!

Although some people may dislike this show, I love it! The one thing that bugs me is that the dubbing is just like other shows in bad English dubs. The animation is smooth although the animals look Um,let's just say they look oddly weird. I flounder this show as they were airing the third season but this show is very good! I give it. 9/10 because of the animation and dubs being a bit odd. I also agree that I am confused why they say "Chu!" Or "dada" all the time. But overall the plot is nice I just wish dubs (English specifically) for season 2 and season 3 would come earlier then later. It is hard to watch the episodes with Korean dub. Anyway, this show is great.

So cute and colorful

This show is so cute. I like the animation, plot, characters, character development, and overall aesthetics. Sisubalan did a great job summarizing the show and I agree it would be better with an antagonist.

I grew up on Pokémon and sailor moon and I find this show to be somewhat of a median yet still its own show that feels authentic.

My only complaint is the voice acting. It's worse than any English dub that I've ever come across. I hope they invest in decent voice actors for any future seasons because it completely throws the show off. I think this show would have substantially better US reviews if it weren't for the fact that the English voice acting is that bad and that distracting.

What the hell is this 💀

This is a clear copy of Pokémon in all aspects. I mean just watch an episode of it. The voices are so annoying the dubbing is horrible and their names and the script for what they gotta say so so goofy. I couldn't watch even one fraction of an episode cause of how cringe this is. Don't let your kids watch this and relive the nostalgia with offering them Pokémon instead. Or else the future generations of kids are gonna end up brainwashed with views that this ping ping pong pong show is the original and that Pokémon wanted to be it. I could never imagine the day I hear that an never want to. Save the future generations, seriously.
