This whole episode involves the return of Adam's daughter. She was kidnapped because she couldn't wait one day to shake her protectors. Adam shouldn't have a job as a dog catcher, let alone be an MI6. In addition to being compromised by his former girlfriend, he leaves evidence "in the house" concerning his liaisons with her. The contrived efforts to get the girl back are beyond belief. Kara, the Russian girlfriend, a ruthless killer, is somehow letting her emotions take over. Adam's wife is snooping around, recording his phone calls, and sharing his life with some CIA agent who has just shown up. Adam has enemies all over the place. Anyway, it's good to see that the girl is out of the picture for now. His wife may be his biggest enemy. Obviously, there is no understanding about the secrecy of his position. It's a pretty weak show and I don't know how it will get much better.

For the head of MI-6, Adam seems a pretty clueless spy. He needs to go back to spy school.
Adam was made head of MI-6 after his boss was poisoned and winds up in the hospital... His wife, Maddy, records his convo with a Russian spy, Kara, and passes the information to her pal from the CIA, Dede. Maddy goes through Adams files and finds information about him and Kara. Adam is then working with Kara to find his kidnapped daughter. He then goes alone with no police backup to find his daughter?????? So he's fighting one kidnapper whilst Kara fights the other. Kara then drives away with the daughter. HOW STUPID CAN HE BE?
Maddy conspires with Dede behind Adam's back. Dede tells Maddy not to trust her husband anymore cause he has "crossed over."
Adam calls Kara and wants to know why she took his daughter. Kara plans to keep her until she gets intel from Adam.
Adam goes over to see his boss' wife. He thinks the "intel" may be in his boss' house. He finds intel on the Foreign Secretary to pass along to Kara. He also sees his boss' file on himself. Adam then takes Maddy with him to hand over the file to Kara. Does Maddy stay in the car and out of danger? OF COURSE NOT!! She follows him, spies on his meeting with Kara and sees Kara give Adam a kiss on the cheek and is horrified.
Adam and Maddy are later reunited with their daughter as promised by Kara.
Next Adam meets with a lawyer at 3 am. He tells him what happened. He also passes the lawyer his letter of resignation. The lawyer asks if his wife knows. Cause she could be guilty of conspiracy. Adam is hoping to do a deal since he knows about the secret cache of files on people in the government which his boss has been using for blackmail.
