So much fun!

It's a fresh project but there is some lags at storytelling, conversation sence and in few editing tricks

But the structure of the series is good and very watchable

7.5/10.

Not what i had expected.. 💔
hajaraymen13 September 2023
If am gonna talk about the series it's good but not what i had thought it would be.

I liked the theme, colors, especially the music brings alot of nostalgic feelings As well as the actress & actors they well fitted the characters In my opinion i didn't find it funny (at least not the sense of humor i look for) but in drama side they played it well. I felt bored in alot of scenes really wished they could spice it up a little bit more

The thriller plot wasn't strong enough (it didn't speak to me ) when i read the script summery i was hella excited new Egyptian young adults drama is developing yk but occasionally didn't satisfy my taste However, i had really enjoyed the last few eps,i think that's were my rate went by high ✋🏼😭 But overall it's a good drama 👍🏼

fresh, hilarious and unique!
gamal-nashar11 January 2022
Definitely watching bimbo is refreshing.. its far from the well-known, extra used cliches in Egyptian TV show..unique mix between local Egyptian 90s nostalgia and the western teen parallel worlds mystery from Archie comics world..and in my my opinion this is how Archie should've been screen adapted instead of the poorly made Dull Riverdale!

Bimbo is an Absolutely hilarious well written comedy tells me that giving chance to new talents will create a great universe of unique digital age dramas and comedies..the BUT in the title only applies to being a very (generation X) series..it is an elitist series (not the political meaning) ..its an group oriented and targeted series..the older generation (and people who like cliches and regular square shows) wont appreciate the genius of Bimbo..definitely recommended fro people who appreciate fresh and new and bold concepts of drama and comedy.

Using visual effects, and (titling), editing techniques is nearly top notch Hollywood standard..using low LED Dual lighting gave a very stylized imagery..usung Egyptian 90s famous pop songs was almost an ear candy for a mid 30s guy like me! ..names choices fits the comic narrative like no other TV show..only reference in freshness here comes to my mind the the genius fantasy comedy from the comic legend Fouad el-Mohandes back in the 60s and 70s when we used to see creativity in well written crime\action comedy..honestly this is how a new digital\streaming age TV shows should look like.. finally i have to tip my hat to the creator of the show (the writer Mohamed Adeeb) and the creative supervisor\visionary the very clever nerdy boy Amr salama for this chance to see such a different and cleverly made (crime comedy) genre production.

And i wont forget the hidden gem in the whole series: the very good (and naturally funny) Wegz the rapper! Hes on the rise to be a giant star soon (he already is in the rap world though).

Actors AND actresses choice was good at best, some actors are very cliche-casted like Mohamed Loutfy but on the other hand casting Abbas Abu elhassan and Suliman Eid and Arfa Adbul Rasoul came out prefect for the refreshing comedy performance.

Seeing Huda El mufti acting is always a pleasure when she give all her best emotionally.

And to be fair also i have to says it: Yes Ahmed (And Hassan) Malek are very likable performers, yest the edge in comedy goes to Ahmed the older brother here.

If your feel hesitant about watching Bimbo, please don't..give it a chance as a unique and one of a kind TV show that is absolute stands apart from the crowd, and for the hilarious\thrilling cliff hanger season end..i will be definitely on alert for a second season.

Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoy watching the show and the love between bimbo and Lana was really interesting and make me want to know what will happened in the future, and it was a really great show I ever watch but, I don't think it will be great for kids who under the age of 17 to watch it because there was inappropriate words.

What a dumb series
mahmoudabooelsooud13 January 2022
You really can figure out how the show will end from the second episode, thank god that they where a little bit creative in the first episode and make us confused about how the show will end not like the other Egyptian series that you can know what will happen from the trailer.

They really need to choose some real actors in the next time instead of the jokes we saw this time (Mohamed lotfy excluded).

This show is extremely creative and the use of nostalgic music with action scenes is just brilliant.

The last two episodes are amazing.

I like how this show is directed I was waiting for so long for someone to use old effects Thank you.

Depends on your IQ
mosam9117 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Initially, this work is aimed at specific audience (hardcore fans of some actors and rappers, influencers/instagrammers/tiktokers followers).

But as an art criticism for people with logical thinking, they will not accept such work. As the beginning of the series, it relied on a good opening between mixing old music with rap music of this era, but this was taken from "Ramy" series, as well as the lights and cuts in the montage.

The sound effects are mischievously contrived and don't quite match the scene.

Presenting the work in the beginning was as if it was a drama, but the end scene was completely comical with the additions of graphics to video games without any introduction in the first episodes.

The plot is based on two things, a killing operation from the beginning that actually shows what happened, and the other is the appearance of a person out of nowhere, which was previously shown on the recommendation of the hero to help the girl he approaches.

Without any explanation of the continued relationship between him and the hero as he is still in contact with the hero without his knowledge.

The extensive use of nineties music as (Hamid Elshairi) is very nice, but not appropriate for the scene (for example, how does the music of a sitcom fit into a dramatic scene or a surprise scene!)

Such work targets young fans for whom are participating in it only, and all of them are under the age of 18 (not +18 as recommended by the producers).

Unfortunately, this series relies on the low IQ of the audience in order to accept it. The consequences of completely unexplained events reoccur a lot of times.
